Summer Camp is Coming… All That’s Missing is YOU



Do you love the outdoors? Does hiking, biking, or sailing sound like an ideal way to spend your summer days? Are you great with kids? If any of these relate to you, then we have a perfect job waiting for you… Summer Camp Counselor!

2016 summer camp is revving up at both our resident camp, Camp Hoover and our day camp, The OVAL. We are currently busy developing program ideas, working to improve the campsite, and planning out the upcoming summer season.

All that’s missing is YOU… our Summer Camp Staff!

Camp teaches you things that can’t be found anywhere else. From skill-building, to leadership training, to public speaking, and enrichment opportunities! Camp experiences allow you to learn and develop skills that will enrich your future work prospects regardless of your college major. Experience as a camp counselor translates into excellent management and personnel skills.

Interested in working at camp, but not sure what to expect? We will be holding a Staff Recruitment Open House!

When: Wednesday, March 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  

Where: Central Service Center, 201 East Grove Street, Westfield, NJ

GSHNJ camp staff and Human Resources will be present to screen applicants and answer any questions you may have.  Applicants must be sixteen (16) by June 15, 2016. Candidates under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the open house. The Open House would be a great time to come and bring a friend who is interested in a summer camp staff positionso pass the word on and help us recruit the best staff yet!
