Celebrate Earth Day April 22nd!

Pinterest

The air is getting warmer, the flowers are blooming, and you probably have cookie boxes in every corner of your house. Yes, the end of Cookie Season is finally here, but it is also Earth Day!  Beginning in 1970, Earth Day exists to promote the conservation of our planet. Girl Scouts have lived that mission since 1912, and we continue it to this day. Earth Day is Friday, April 22, so while you celebrate this year, put those cookie boxes to good use and get crafty!

One of the components of Earth Day is recognizing that so many of our resources can be reused and re-purposed into different thingsincluding those empty cookie boxes. Grab your empty Thin Mint cases and construct a doll house that is fun and resourceful. Cut up your empty packages of Rah Rah Raisins, add some flair and you have a great book mark to remind you of fun cookie memories each time you read!  Our Pinterest has a ton of ideas on how to craft your way through Earth Day.

If you've come up with any other ways to reuse your cookie boxes, comment below and share them with us!
