30 Days of Good Deeds: Multi-Level Troop Helps the Community Food Bank
It's always a great thing when a large group of Girl Scouts work alongside their leaders to do something amazing. Thirty-one Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Scouts from Service Unit 48 came together on January 30th to help out at the Community Food Bank in Hillside! Want to learn more about how they served their community? Keep reading!
Along with their Troop Leaders, the Girl Scouts worked hard sorting and packing food for the Community Food Bank of New Jersey—a member of Feeding America. The food they packed was distributed to 18 of the 21 counties in New Jersey!
The Community Food Bank of New Jersey's mission is to "fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long-term solutions." To date, the organization has distributed over 500 million pounds of food to those in need!
