April marks National Volunteer Month, but today, we are celebrating Girl Scout Leader's Day! Girl Scout Leader's Day honors all the volunteers who work as leaders and mentors in partnership with girls. On this day, girls, their families, and communities find special ways to thank their adult Girl Scout volunteers. Today, we thank you for the countless hours you spend providing great Girl Scout experiences to our girls, and GSHNJ CEO, Pat Carroll, offers a special message to all Girl Scout leaders:
"April is a special time of year for Girl Scout volunteers and leaders. As we celebrate all of the hard work and community service that our volunteers take part in, we can't help but think about the amazing experiences our leaders give our Girl Scouts every day. From exciting camping trips to educational outings and fun troop meetings, Girl Scout leaders provide an environment for girls to learn about themselves, learn about others, and develop connections that will last a lifetime. That's no easy task.
As Girl Scout leaders, you help mold young girls into women who are courageous innovators, successful businesswomen, and role models in their community. Countless time and effort goes into being a Girl Scout leader, and we thank you for all that you do!
Happy National Girl Scout Leader's Day!"
