Girl Scouts Donate Flags to Hillsborough Schools on Flag Day

Even though Flag Day isn't a federal holiday, it is celebrated by many different people in a variety of ways. For Girl Scout troops in Hillsborough, it meant that they were able to give back to their community in a special way—by donating a brand new flag to Hillsborough schools.

Troop #65304's Walk in the Woods Project

On Saturday April 30th, Warren Girl Scout Troop #65304 held an event called "A Walk in the Woods" for K-5 Girl Scouts. The event took place at the Warren Municipal Grounds and gave the younger Girl Scouts an opportunity to learn about food and water and they even got to enjoy a hike together.

Cadette Girl Scouts Donate Scarves and Shawls


Cadette Girl Scouts from Troop #20676 wanted to learn a new skill, so they decided to pick up crocheting and knitting—but the story doesn't end there. Trinity and Briana wanted to give back to their community, so the girls put their new skills to the test and crocheted scarves and shawls to donate to the seniors of New Community Extended Care in Newark.
