Lifetime Special 'Women of Honor' Spotlights Three Servicewomen for Veteran's Day

Lifetime
Veteran's Day is a time to honor those who have served our country, but most importantly, it's a great reminder to say Thank You to all of our military and armed forces--including the remarkable women in the military and the military community. That's exactly what First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden are doing in a recent Women of Honor special hosted by Lifetime. The two are committed to making sure there is a good understanding of what it means to be a woman service member and veteran.

The First Lady and Dr. Jill Biden worked together to spotlight and celebrate three female veterans and caregivers both in an out of uniform: Fort Eustice Captain Rolona Brown, Jennifer Madden (a combat veteran who found out she was going to war on her first day of basic training on September 11, 2001), and Kathleen Causey, a caregiver to her husband who was severely injured as a member of the military's Bomb Squad

All three women were invited to the White House to talk about their experiences, the struggles they face as they return to life as a civilian, and their hopes for the future.

Simply indicate on your order card the number of $6.00 nut and/or magazine donations you'd like to make. U.S. Military Troops serving overseas will receive the donations via Operation Shoebox!

From all of us here at Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey, Happy Veteran's Day!
