The Girl Scouts from Troop #60097 volunteered their time by visiting the brand new Care One facility that just opened in December. Care One at Somerset Valley Assisted Living caters to the senior population who can no longer live at home safely and needs assistance with daily tasks like cooking, managing their finances, and running a household.
The Cadettes did a craft with the residents and made a special craft for the residents who who weren't able to participate. The girls introduced themselves, interacted with the residents and the staff, and spent the afternoon just getting to know the residents on a more personal level.
