Cadette Girl Scouts Donate Scarves and Shawls
Cadette Girl Scouts from Troop #20676 wanted to learn a new skill, so they decided to pick up crocheting and knitting—but the story doesn't end there. Trinity and Briana wanted to give back to their community, so the girls put their new skills to the test and crocheted scarves and shawls to donate to the seniors of New Community Extended Care in Newark.
Trinity enlisted her grandmother who is a crocheter/knitter to make a few items and got her aunt to donate items such as soap, toothpaste, socks, and lotions for each bag. The girls then packed the bags and got them ready to be donated.
Both Trinity and Briana felt good about being able to hand-make items and donate them to people in need!
I am so proud of my young ladies. They work so hard to be community minded.
