30 Days of Good Deeds: Troop #20135 Decorate Fun Centerpieces

Community service comes in all different forms. Whether you decide to spend time helping at an animal shelter or organize a clothing drive to be donated to families in need, there are tons of ways to give back. On day 10 of our 30 Days of Good Deeds, we're featuring a Girl Scout troop who decided that they wanted to spruce up a local senior living community.

Brownie Troop #20135 who are third graders at a school in Caldwell made spent time making table centerpieces to be enjoyed by the seniors living at Crane's Mill in West Caldwell.

On December 11th, the 21 Girl Scouts worked together to decorate large recycled cans and jars and then filled each with holiday greetings and conversation starters. Some of the messages in the centerpieces said, "Merry Christmas from a Girl Scout," "Girl Scouts wish you a Happy Holiday," and asked questions like, "What is your favorite holiday memory?"

When the girls were done putting together the fun centerpieces, they were delivered to Crane's Mill and enjoyed by all the residents.

Is your Troop doing something amazing? Do you know a Girl Scout who is making a change in her community? Fill out this easy form to submit your Good Deed!
