30 Days of Good Deeds: Troops #20263 and #20241 Make Valentine's Cards
Happy Valentine's Day! Valentine's Day is more than just letting your loved ones know that you care about them. It's about spreading love to anyone who may need it. Today, we'll be featuring two Girl Scout Troops who spend an afternoon creating cute Valentine's Day cards and treats for homeless youth!
Girl Scouts from Troops #20263 and #20241 rallied together to create Valentine's gift bags and cards for residents of the Covenant House located in Newark, NJ. The girls each brought a bag of candy and worked together to make sure that their gifts would put a smile on faces of those who would be receiving them.
For over 25 years, the Covenant House has been providing assistance to homeless youth by providing food, clothing, and shelter to those between the ages of 18-years-old and 21-years-old. In New Jersey alone, the Covenant House serves over 56,000 homeless youth per year.
Is your Troop doing something amazing? Do you know a Girl Scout who is making a change in her community? Fill out this easy form to submit your Good Deed!
