Happy World Thinking Day!

Girl Scouts isn't just exclusive to the United States—it's a worldwide movement. There are Girl Scouts (and Girl Guides!) from all around the world spanning 146 unique countries. How cool is that?

Every year, on February 22nd, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides come together to celebrate World Thinking Day. What is World Thinking Day? We're glad you asked!

World Thinking Day encourages Girl Scouts / Girl Guides to think about their fellow scouts in other areas of the world, remember what scouting means to them, and observe the global impact of being a part of the Girl Scouts / Girl Guides community. Girls participate in activities and projects with global themes to honor all of their sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in other countries.

World Thinking Day is part of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGGs) Global Action Theme, which is based on the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The overall coal is to improve the lives of the world's poorest people.

This year, the World Thinking Day theme is Connect. Take time to make meaningful connections with your friends, your family, your sister Girl Scouts, and the world.
