30 Days of Good Deeds: Troop #60018 Makes Paper Carnations

Alzheimer's is a tough disease to live with, and for people with family members that are suffering, it can be a life-changing diagnosis. Troop #60018 understand that patients living with Alzheimer's need an extra dose of loveand they knew just how to make them smile and feel special.

For the 5th consecutive year, 11 Juniors from Troop #60018 visited the Chelsea Senior Living in Warren. Each year they spend an hour on a floor designated for Alzheimer's patients that is lovingly referred to as "The Cottage."

The girls partnered with the seniors to do a fun crafts project. This year, since the girls visited "The Cottage" a few days before Valentine's Day, the Girl Scouts focused on a Valentine-related craft and made tissue paper carnations.

The girls (with the help of the seniors!) filled three vases with paper carnations, which they left behind to brighten the homes and the hearts of the residents!
