Adult-Centered Programs—We Have Them!

Want to feel more comfortable talking with the press about all the great things your girls do? Need to learn more about social media and how to use it properly to promote your Service Unit or Troop? We're here to help! Take a look at our exciting upcoming programs just for adults!

#socialmedia

Facebook. Twitter. Blog. Instagram. Snapchat--oh, MY! Overwhelmed by the social media landscape? Want to learn the ins and outs of which tools you should be using? Join us for a 45-minute virtual discussion where our marketing & communications team will provide you with an overview of social media platforms, the user standards for them, best practices, and what you need to know about protecting you, and your girls' information in the social media space. You'll walk away with a broader knowledge of this evolving field and the tools you need to engage with parents and girls--virtually!

Media Mavens

Calling all Service Units and Troop leaders! We know your girls are out doing amazing work, and we want to help you share your stories and successes! We also know that navigating the media can be tricky, and you've told us that you'd like some help with this. Our marketing & communications team has developed a program to do just that.

Spend an hour with us (in person, or virtually) and we'll talk about the basics of inviting press to your event, writing a press release for your girls, and how to include standard Girl Scout language so that we're all speaking to the press with the same voice, which is critical to our Girl Scout movement. After you've join this session, you'll receive access to templates for press invites, sample press releases, and a press contact list for your specific area--all the tools you need to become a Media Maven!

To sign up for either of these pilot initiatives, please contact Kristen Kraemer at kkraemer@gshnj.org.
