Program Feature: Come See The Blue Man Group!

If you've never caught the Blue Man Group perform live, now is the perfect time! Please join GSHNJ on Sunday, March 5, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Astor Place Theatre in New York City to experience the mystery, the humor, the euphoria, and the indescribable celebration of art, technology, and music that is Blue Man Group.

Wildly imaginative and truly original, this show appeals to all ages and backgrounds. Blue Man Group makes a great family outing and is fun for young and old.  You will enjoy the slapstick, high-tech visuals and their sophisticated humor. The action focuses on a trio known collectively as the Blue Man character. These three performers wear glistening blue face paint and loose-fitting black clothes.

Through a unique combination of music, art, comedy and theater, Blue Man Group is unlike any performance you've ever experienced. And if you're lucky enough to see it from the first few rows, it will hit you (pun intended!) in more ways than one. During your show, you'll see many of the signature elements of a Blue Man Group performance: Giant PVC tubing and tubs fill the stage and are used in imaginative ways. Brightly colored objects fly between cast members--and those in the audience sitting closest to the stage in what's known as the "poncho section."

Different color liquids ooze from just about everywhere, and you'll never eat marshmallows the same way again after seeing a show. Hint: They do a fun marshmallow toss! If you're wondering, audience participation is completely optional. However, once you see all the fun both on and off the stage, it'll be hard to not get involved!

If you sign up for this program, there's is a special opportunity that is exclusive only to Girl Scouts that you're not going to want to miss! It includes a Question and Answer session with the Blue Man Group and a fun participation patch.
