Remember when we shared with you that Maplewood, South Orange Troop #20245 rallied together to collect donations for the local homeless? The girls caught the attention of Cindy Hsu and the CBS 2 News team!


Troop #20245 was featured on a CBS 2 segment called "Giving Thanks" on December 3rd. After collecting 4,000 travel-sized items, the girls came together to assemble 230 donation kits to support Bridges Outreach, a non-profit that provides essential items to thousands of homeless people in New York City, Newark, and Irvington.



We'd like to take this opportunity to give thanks to our wonderful volunteers, troop leaders, co-leaders, parents, and girls for all of the amazing things they're accomplishing and for being true examples of what Girl Scouts is all about!
